Before spring break, my english class was discussing the topic of our upcoming book, the sound and the fury. The same topic of willling suspension of disbelief was discussed in class. The idea of willing suspension of disbelief is the knowledge of something's falsity and acceptance the idea of the idea. In this book, suspension of disbelief is a very important element in the reading. The story suspends the reader of to accept the narration of a mentally retarded character even thoough he cannot talk. The reader must buy the idea and the inconsistancy of his narration and decifer if the narration is reliable or not. Another element to his narration is that it is written in the patterns of the mind. No one thought is constant and more suspension of disbelief is made
