A form of story telling we learned about in foundations was when storytellers would use pictures to help tell a story. This form of storytelling is not only limited in theatre. In history class Dr Miles often uses different maps to help tell the story or the different patterns that voyagers traveled. She has several series of different maps all of the US, and they all are a little different, with new territories and boundaries. But as the story of US history unravels the map expands and the bondaries change, the story she tells (the history) also continues. She constantly flips back and forth, from map to map to keep up with the history we learn in class. Being able to see the physical changes on the map helps to keep my attention and learn better. I can visiualize the map and its changes when I go to take a test, the recall of the changes on the maps helps in my explanation.
